A Fun Visit

My Aunt Marie came to visit this weekend and we had a lot of fun at the pool together. We hung out all day, had dinner at Cafe Rio and then she headed back to Prescott. My Uncle Chris is coming to visit for Spring Break, so I'll get to hang out even more with Aunt Rie Rie.

Marie talking to my Baba in Iraq while hanging out at the pool in AZ...

Lounging...
Don't worry there was plenty of SPF on my newly bald head.
And my pasty Aunt Marie slathered up as well.

Puzzles

This isn't a particularly interesting video, but I just wanted to show my Dearden cousins how much I LOVE the puzzles they passed on to me. I can spend up to an hour just sitting with my mom and dad doing puzzles. I'm sure Lucy and Eli had tons of fun playing with them, and now I'm enjoying them as well. Thank you, thank you!

Fun with the Evans

We spent the weekend at the Evans house while the older Evans tromped around in the wilderness like pioneers. I think I got a little taste of what it must have been like for my Dad and Baba to have so many sisters.
Here we are watching Enchanted for like the fourth time.

Outside on the swing set. My new favorite word: PUSH.

Going down the slide.

Watching a movie with Sammy.

Communal cheese crisp plate.

I became Sammy's personal dolly.

Some classic Sammy moments:

Sammy to Clark: "Where's your mom?" (referring of course to Margaret)

Margaret to Sammy after she licked all the frosting off her cupcake: "Sammy, eat the rest of your cupcake."
Sammy's reply: "Its only a muffin, Margaret."

Pool Days in March!?!

Gotta love Arizona.Modeling my new (and slightly large) swimwear.

And here's my "sunscreen hair-do."

If anyone knows where my mom can purchase an ear-band to keep my earplugs from coming out in the pool, let her know. Our local Walgreens had no idea what she was talking about. Thanks!

More Fun from the Ostrich Festival

This is me before I realized my head was stuck.

And this is me panicking.

We weren't brave enough to try the ostrich meat.

I look pretty mean with that zebra tattoo on my arm.

What a cute family of ostriches!

Here are the ostriches hanging out before the big race. Notice their little ostrich saddles. We waited around hoping to see what an ostrich jockey looks like. No luck, sadly.

Here we are on the Freedom Fire Truck at the end of the day. I spent the entire day coveting the balloons that every other child seemed to have. Finally, I got my own and I was mesmerized.

Ostrich Festival

If you haven't heard of the Chandler Ostrich Festival, well you're about to. My mom lives for this kind of stuff, and my dad... well, he lives to avoid it. Carnival rides, games, animals, shows, musical acts like Vertical Horizon, Ostrich racing, FUNNEL CAKE! What's not to love?

My Aunt Rie Rie made a spontaneous trip down to see us so we went to the Festival and headed straight to the Petting Zoo. I saw all sorts of strange and new "doggies."

This is an emu, not an ostrich.

This little fawn really liked licking the sugar from my sucker off my hands. It tickled.

The camel was very friendly.

The bird of the hour. Majestic, isn't it?

Kissing the Zebu.

The Zebra was not so friendly: "Do not feed fingers to the Zebra."

Friday Night with Mom

Park Day

Me, Zeph and Bren.

Every Friday at 10:30 my cousins and I meet at a local park for PARK DAY. All my mom has to do is mention the words Park and Addie/Brenley/Dax/Jarem/Sammy/Trigg/Zanya/Zephyr in the same sentence and I start hyperventilating with pure JOY.

I LOVE PARK DAY. Its something I will definitely miss if we move to Prescott or Tucson. Luckily, my dad has an interview with a Biotech company here in Phoenix. Maybe I won't have to give up Park Day with my cousins after all.

Buckethead

My two new favorite toys: bucket with sand and a sport band from my Aunt Rebecca. I guess I just like wearing things on my head.

P-scott

We were back in Prescott yesterday and today because my Daddy had an interview with a Phoenix firm that has a small Prescott branch. His interview went well and there's a chance I might be moving up north! After the interview, we hung out with my Aunt Marie and her friends, JJ and Jack.

Jack gave me this awesome coon hat. We stayed the night at Aunt Marie's apartment and woke up early to have breakfast at Hotel St. Michael (you can see it in the background here). It was SO DELICIOUS. My mom has already decided that if we move to Prescott we'll have to make a monthly tradition out of it.
Here we are in Town Square, hanging out with some local cowboys. When my mom asked them why they were dressed up, they said "because they could." That's Prescott for you... its everybody's hometown. As always, we had a really fun time. We can't wait to get back up there so we can hang out some more with the Burtons!

Sick Again

Here I am, sick again. With my first ear infection since I had my tubes put in, not bad. My mom and dad let me hang out in their bed watching TV while I tried to beat my 102 fever. Thank goodness for Tylonel and comfy PJs that zip down for a cooling effect!
