Nakie Jakie

The best part of Halloween, besides the Tootsie Rolls, was when I got to take off my hot sweaty horse costume and play in my skivvies!

Neigh Neigh

Since we already had some photos of me in the lion costume (thanks, btw, cousin Will) my parents decided that I would make a cute horse. Boy, did I hate that costume! I wouldn't let my mom get one decent shot of me.

Cousins at Halloween

Its no easy task getting a good photo of all the cousins in their costumes. Especially the 7 baby cousins: Zephyr the Lion, Cashis the Monkey, Trigg the Boy Clown, Addie the Girl Clown, Zanya the Other Girl Clown, Lexi the Kitty Cat, and Booker the Horse.

Halloween Party

We had our annual Proffitt pumpkin carving and apple bobbing party. My Elmo pumpkin did alright with the help of several toothpicks. Some of my other favorite pumpkins were my Aunt Jan's Blue's Clues pumpkin and my Cousin Kindyl's Kitty Cat pumpkin with cool green eyes. My other favorite part of the party was jumping on the trampoline with my older cousins. Its was lots of fun for me... not so fun for them.

I Know What I Like

I may not talk much, but I definitely know what I like. Doodlebops is one of my favorite shows, btw.

Simple Pleasures

My parents are so cruel.

Walk This Way

I've been walking for exactly one week now. I'm so much happier now that I can see the world while I go. Check me out.

Walking Bean

The most miraculous thing happened tonight. In fact, my mommy has tears in her eyes as she's writing. Yesterday, I wasn't walking. Yesterday, I wasn't even CLOSE to walking. Today, I am walking. Its the most insane thing ever. I had my surgery this morning and now I can walk. If you don't believe me, watch this video that my mom just recorded on her phone so she can show my daddy (who, naturally, is away in Washington DC when I take my first steps). Its the most unbelievable thing ever. I wasn't even standing on my own and taking steps unaided yesterday. YESTERDAY. Incredible what fluid in your ears will prevent you from doing.
Anyways, here is a picture of me in the bath tub earlier this evening. I had to have custom earplugs made because my ears are so "narrow." Until those arrive, I have to use cotton balls and vaseline. Icky.
Well, I've conned my mom into letting me stay up way too late by walking up and down the room. But the time has come for me to go to bed. Good night and watch out, world. I'm a walking bean!

Surgical Bean

Here's a video of the ear tube surgery I'm having this Thursday. Its one of the most common procedures performed on children these days. Vote in this poll if you've had experience with ear tubes.

Always Funny

I love it when my mom gets me stuff from the dollar store.

Car Show

I was out running errands with my mom last night when we noticed that they were an awful lot of cool-looking cars around. It turns out that there was a free car show right there in the Target parking lot. So we called my dad who met us there and the three of us walked around enjoying the beautiful Arizona Fall weather.

Dad kept going on about which type of car he plans on helping me fix up in high school. Of the many requirements he has, the most important is that the car be unfavorable to making out. Consequently, we spent a long time looking at the Morris Minor.

Bald Buddies Again

Trigg came over to play tonight. He's much better at sharing than I am. It might have something to do with being the youngest of five kids. Plus its just in his nature. He's a gentle giant and I'm kind of a stinky bean.

Prescott

Yesterday, we drove up to Prescott and hung out with the Burtons. We started with a delicious dinner at JB's. Sam and I made a HUGE mess of the booth with all the yummy things we ate- good thing his dad owns the place! Then we went over to their new home, where I got to play a little bit more with Sam, Isaac and their dog, Bandit. I had such a fun time. I can tell Sam and I are going to be good buddies. I especially like him because he's the only baby I know with less hair than me! Thanks Paul and Ally for showing us a good time. We can't wait to see you next time we're in Prescott.

Frijole Internacional

I'm a border hopping bean! Mexico was crowded and dirty, but also lots of fun. I got some cool new toys like a set of maracas, a sombrero and a wooden snake. I suffered from a little bit of culture shock and spent the first hour staring blankly ahead in my stroller. But with some beans and rice in my tummy, I warmed up to the new and exciting environment. Everyone kept calling me Gordito (even though I'm more of a Flacito) and they gave my mom some sweet discounts because I'm so dang cute. The line to get back into the EUA was LONG but overall, my first trip out of the country was lots of fun.

You Are a Miracle

Yesterday, we picked up Aunt Rie Rie and took her straight to Nogales, Mexico to put to test all the knowledge she picked up at Sierra Tucson. She passed with flying colors! More to follow.
